Bruce D. Meyer
McCormick Foundation Professor, CID Project Founder
Bruce D. Meyer is the founder of the CID Project and serves as the McCormick Foundation Professor at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy. His research focuses on poverty and inequality, tax policy, government safety net programs such as unemployment insurance, workers’ compensation, food stamps, and Medicaid, and the accuracy of household surveys. Meyer received his BA and MA in economics from Northwestern University and his PhD in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Derek Wu
Research Affiliate
Derek Wu is an Assistant Professor at the Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia. His research focuses on poverty and inequality, the effects of government programs, and the economics of education. Wu received his AB from Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs.
Angela Wyse
Graduate Research Fellow
Angela Wyse is a Graduate Research Fellow at the CID Project and a PhD student at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy. Her research focuses on poverty, homelessness, and immigration. Wyse received her BA from the University of Michigan and an MPP from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
Brian Curran
Graduate Research Fellow
Brian Curran is a Graduate Research Fellow at the CID Project. His research at the CID Project focuses on the poverty and the geography of disadvantage. Curran received his AB in Economics and Mathematics from Dartmouth College.
Connor Murphy

Connor Murphy is a Graduate Research Fellow at the CID Project. His research at the CID Project focuses on household consumption surveys and homelessness. Murphy received his BA in Economics and Applied Mathematics from the University of Notre Dame.
Matthew Stadnicki

Matthew Stadnicki is a Graduate Research Fellow at the CID Project. His research at the CID Project focuses on tax and earnings data and the effects of government programs. Stadnicki received his BA in economics and mathematics from Northwestern University.
Aaron Hong
Menard Family Pre-Doctoral Fellow
Aaron Hong is a Menard Pre-Doctoral Fellow at the CID Project. In the past, he has conducted research on the relationship between interest groups and executive agencies. Hong received his BS in economics and mathematics and BA in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego.
Mandana Vakil
Menard Family Pre-Doctoral Fellow
Mandana Vakil is a Menard Pre-Doctoral Fellow at the CID Project. In the past, her research has focused on modeling unemployment, student homelessness, and pandemic effects on labor market outcomes. Vakil received her BA in economics and public policy from Brown University and her MSc in economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Anthony Tatarka
Menard Family Pre-Doctoral Fellow
Anthony Tatarka is a Menard Pre-Doctoral Fellow at the CID Project. His past research has focused on housing policy and the effect on housing production. Tatarka received his BS in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Notre Dame.

Nikolas Mittag is an Associate Professor at CERGE-EI. His CID Project research focuses on misreporting in surveys and developing new methods to correct survey errors.
James Sullivan is the Gilbert F. Schaefer College Professor of Economics and co-founder of the Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunity at the University of Notre Dame. His CID Project research focuses on real-time poverty measurement and the relationship between income and consumption.
